Aviator Overview: What the Spribe Crash Game Is and How It Works

Aviator is a fast crash game: a plane takes off, the multiplier keeps rising, and you decide when to cash out your bet. You place a bet, watch the plane climb and take your cash out before it flies away and the round ends. Rounds are short, every result can be checked, and you choose when to exit.

On this page, we explain how Aviator works, its main features, bet types and limits, and how to play it at a licensed casino where online casinos are legal.

Aviator Review: Main Features

Aviator is a multiplayer crash game from Spribe, released in February 2019. It has grown from a niche title into one of the best-known casino games. The idea is a rising multiplier with no fixed cap, and each round is independent: its result comes from Spribe’s Provably Fair system, which you can check after the round.

Spribe states an RTP of 97%. It doesn’t state the volatility; reviews range from low to medium, and in practice it depends on the Cash Out target you pick. Low targets bring frequent small wins, high targets long losing runs.

Spribe keeps refining the game: Aviator 2.0 in August 2019 made it faster and added a new mobile interface and the Rain feature. The live chat, live bets and statistics make it feel social. All players in the same room watch the same flight.

Aviator is offered at many online casinos, such as 1win, 4rabet and 1xBet, often with a welcome bonus and local payment methods. At Melbet, the game listed as Aviator is being checked: on our screenshot, it isn’t Spribe’s version.

What is a crash game?

A crash game is built around one rising multiplier that stops at a random point. You win if you leave before the stop and lose your bet if you don’t. The format comes from crypto casinos: Spribe’s chief commercial officer has said the team had been “observing the emerging crypto casino space since 2017.” Other studios followed, such as SmartSoft Gaming with JetX and Pragmatic Play with Spaceman in 2022. Our comparison of Aviator and other crash games puts their RTP and features side by side.

How Aviator differs from slots

Aviator sits in the same lobbies as slots, but it has no reels, symbols or paytable. Your win is the bet times the multiplier at the moment you cash out. The cash-out choice makes it feel like a skill game, but it isn’t: a lower target wins more often and pays less, a higher one wins less often and pays more.

The round

Gameplay Mechanics of Aviator

Each round starts with a short betting window. You select your stake, press Bet, and when the window closes the plane takes off and the multiplier rises from 1.00x. The aim is to cash out before the plane flies away. If it flies away first, the screen shows “FLEW AWAY!” and the bet is lost.

The game field shows the plane in the center and the current multiplier in big digits, so you can track the round easily. Below it is the control panel, where you set the stake, turn on Auto Bet and set an Auto Cash Out target such as 1.50x or 2.00x. Live bets of other players, with their cash-out points, are listed on the left on desktop and under the bet panels on a phone.

The crash point is set before the round starts, so nothing you do during the flight changes it. One detail from the rules: if the plane flies away at 1.25x, the multiplier only reached 1.24x, so an Auto Cash Out at 1.25x loses that round.

A round in dollars

A $1 bet cashed out at 2.50x pays $2.50, a profit of $1.50. A $10 bet cashed out at 10.00x pays $100. If you wait for 3x and the plane leaves at 1.80x, the $1 is gone.

The multiplier grows on a fixed curve, written into the rules text of Spribe’s demo client. By our calculation from that formula, the plane reaches 2x after about 8.4 seconds and 10x after about 27.7 seconds. Spribe doesn’t publish how long the betting window lasts. For the full controls, see how to play Aviator.

Design

Interface and Design of Aviator

The Aviator interface is clean, dark-themed and built for quick decisions. All core actions are in one place, so you can adjust bets or cash out without confusion, even on a small phone screen.

  • Game field: the center shows the plane taking off and flying higher, so you see at once how the round is going.
  • Multiplier display: a large number shows the current value in real time, from 1.00x upward.
  • Bet controls: one or two bet panels let you set the stake and confirm it. A second panel opens with the plus icon.
  • Auto tab: Auto Bet places your bet every round, and Auto Cash Out closes it at a target multiplier, which keeps your plan disciplined.
  • Balance and history: your balance is shown at the top, along with the multipliers of recent rounds.
  • Live bets and chat: the All Bets, Previous and Top tabs list other players’ results, and the chat shows reactions and big wins.
  • Game menu: Free Bets, My Bet History, Game Limits, Game Rules and Provably Fair Settings.

The layout keeps everything visible at a glance, which matters in a game where each second counts. Our Aviator glossary explains every button and term.

Limits

Betting Limits in Aviator

Each casino sets its own limits for Aviator. The minimum bet is low, often around $0.10, so you can test short sessions with small amounts. The maximum bet is often around $100, depending on the casino and the currency.

The win is capped in money per bet, not by a multiplier. When a win reaches the casino’s maximum, the game cashes the bet out automatically. A casino can also set an optional maximum multiplier, which then appears in the limits window.

Maximum bet$80
Maximum win for one bet$8,330

These numbers are examples, and limits change from one casino to another. Before you start, open Game Limits in the game menu so your plan matches the range and the maximum win.

Bets

Types of Bets in Aviator

Aviator supports different betting styles, so you can set the risk to your comfort level. You can use a single bet for simple control or two bets at once to mix a cautious and a riskier approach in one round.

  • Single bet: one bet per round, cashed out by hand. Many new players use it to learn timing and practice discipline.
  • Double bet: two independent bet panels. For example, one bet with Auto Cash Out at 1.50x and a second one you close by hand at a higher multiplier.
  • Auto Bet: the game places your bet every round with the stake you set, and you cash out by hand.
  • Auto Cash Out: a target multiplier at which the game closes the bet for you, even if you aren’t watching the exact moment.
  • Auto Play: a set number of rounds that stops when your balance falls or grows by a set amount, or when a single win exceeds a limit.

The right style depends on your budget and risk tolerance. Two bets spread the result within a round, but they also double what you wager.

Tips

Aviator Strategies and Tips

Every Aviator round comes from Spribe’s Provably Fair system, so no pattern or software can predict when the plane will fly away. Aviator always carries risk, and any strategy can only manage your money. None of them changes the 97% RTP.

Sensible tips include:

  • Set a fixed session budget. Decide how much you are ready to lose before you start, and stick to that limit.
  • Keep bets small and even. Small, consistent bets let a budget last longer and reduce big swings.
  • Use Auto Cash Out for discipline. A target set in advance, such as 1.50x or 2.00x, prevents decisions made in the heat of a round. Under a common model for crash games, 2.00x is reached in about half of rounds.
  • Don’t chase losses. Raising stakes after losing rounds drains a balance faster.
  • Take breaks. Short pauses help you stay calm and think clearly.

These tips are for budget control and responsible play. They don’t change the house edge or lead to a profit. Our tips and strategies guide shows the numbers.

RTP and Provably Fair in brief

An RTP of 97% means that, in theory, every $100 wagered returns $97 over millions of rounds. A single session can end far above or below that.

The casino’s server seed is hashed with SHA-256, and that hash is shown before the round. At takeoff, the server seed is combined with the client seeds of the first three players to bet, and the string is hashed with SHA-512 to set the result. Every round is independent, so past multipliers say nothing about the next one. Our step-by-step Provably Fair section explains how to check a round.

Law

Legality of Aviator

Whether Aviator is legal depends on your country and the casino. Spribe holds licenses in a number of regulated markets, such as Malta, so Aviator is legal wherever a locally licensed casino offers it. Reliable casinos run the original Spribe version, whose round results you can check with Provably Fair, and protect your data and payments with encryption.

  • UK: as of April 2026, press reports said Aviator hadn’t returned to UK-licensed casinos after the license suspension was lifted.
  • US: we found no state license for Spribe and no launch of Aviator in a regulated state.
  • India: the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 bans online money games and their advertising from May 1, 2026.
  • France: online casino games are not legal, so real-money Aviator isn’t either.

The casinos on this site hold offshore licenses, which don’t make them legal everywhere. Check the rules in your country and the casino’s license before you sign up. Our guide on where to play Aviator lists the casinos we cover.

The original Aviator and the copies

Unlicensed sites and copied apps may not follow the same standards and can put your money and personal data at risk. Not every game called “Aviator” is Spribe’s either: Spribe and a Georgian company, Aviator LLC, are in court over the name in several countries.

Our April 2026 screenshots show how this plays out. Ten of the eleven casinos on this site had Spribe’s Aviator in the lobby. At Melbet, the game listed as Aviator had a different interface, so it is still being checked. At 1xBet, Spribe’s Aviator is in the lobby; check the provider name before you play.

The quickest signs of the original:

  • the lobby tile or loading screen names Spribe;
  • the menu has Provably Fair Settings, Game Limits and Game Rules;
  • each bet panel has Bet and Auto tabs, and a second panel opens with a plus icon.

The only official Spribe site is spribe.co, and Spribe doesn’t offer a standalone Aviator app. More checks are on our Spribe page and in our guide to real and fake Aviator games.

FAQ

Aviator FAQ

Can I try Aviator for free before using real money?

Yes. Spribe offers an official demo on spribe.co, and many casinos have a fun mode with virtual credits. You don’t win or lose real money there, but it shows how a round feels before you deposit. See our demo guide.

Is there a best time to cash out in Aviator?

No. The plane can fly away at any moment, and every round is independent. Some players cash out often at 1.50x–2.00x, others take rare shots at higher multipliers. Neither choice changes the 97% RTP; it only changes how often you win and how much.

Does Aviator have bonus features or jackpots?

No. Aviator has no free spins, bonus rounds or jackpots. The main feature is the rising multiplier, with two bets, Auto Bet and Auto Cash Out. Free bets come from the casino or from the Rain feature in the chat.

Can I play Aviator on mobile?

Yes. Aviator runs in the browser on phones and tablets, and casinos offer it in their mobile sites and apps. Spribe has no standalone Aviator app, so avoid APK files from third-party sites.

How fast are Aviator deposits and withdrawals?

That depends on the casino, not on the game. Deposits are usually instant, while withdrawals can take from a few hours to several days, depending on the method and the account check. Complete KYC early to avoid delays.

Who made Aviator?

Spribe, a game studio founded in 2018 and registered in Estonia. The game first went live on Adjarabet.com in February 2019.

Is Aviator luck or skill?

It’s luck. The crash point is fixed before the round starts, and each round is independent. Choosing when to cash out changes how often you win and how much, not the 3% house edge.

Play responsibly

Every Aviator round is random, and no app or pattern can predict when the plane flies away. Set a budget before you start, use your casino’s deposit and time limits, and never chase losses.
