How to Play Aviator: Your Complete Beginner’s Guide

Aviator is a crash game from Spribe: a small plane takes off, the multiplier rises, and you try to cash out before it flies away. Rounds are fast and social, with live bets, instant cash-outs and statistics in real time. Casinos offer it with local payment methods and sometimes Aviator promotions. This guide covers each control, with examples in dollars.

Basics

How Aviator Works

Aviator is simple to follow once you see one full round from start to finish.

  1. Choose your stake and place one or two bets before the round starts.
  2. Watch the plane take off and the multiplier climb from 1.00x on the main screen.
  3. Keep an eye on your potential payout, which grows in real time on the Cash Out button.
  4. Press Cash Out at any time before the plane flies away.
  5. If you cash out in time, your stake is multiplied by that value. If not, the screen shows “FLEW AWAY!” and you lose that bet.

The crash point is fixed before the round begins, so the result is random. Your timing decides only how much of it you collect, and money management decides how long your budget lasts.

The rules in the game

Everything else, from Auto Play to the Rain feature, is built on top of these rules. The game also has a short How To Play window that sums them up in three lines.

Placing a bet

Each bet panel has an amount field, plus and minus buttons and four preset amounts. The presets and the step depend on the casino and the currency. The allowed range comes from the casino too: reviews put a typical range at $0.10 to $100 per bet, but check Game Limits at your own casino.

You can only bet in the gap between rounds. Spribe doesn’t publish how long that betting window lasts, and it passes quickly. Once the plane takes off, the bet is locked in. Each panel has two tabs: Bet for manual play and Auto for Auto Bet and Auto Cash Out.

Cashing out

Cash Out is the only decision you make during a round. Press it while your bet is live, and the payout is fixed at the current multiplier, whatever happens after. The math is always the bet times the multiplier at cash-out.

Cash-out examples
BetCash Out atPayoutNet result
$11.50x$1.50+$0.50
$12.50x$2.50+$1.50
$1010.00x$100+$90
$1No cash out, crash at 1.80x$0−$1

Calculated with the payout rule from Spribe’s in-game rules: bet × multiplier at cash-out.

The crash point detail. If the plane flies away at 1.25x, the multiplier only reached 1.24x on screen. The crash point is the first value the round did not reach, so an Auto Cash Out set at exactly 1.25x loses in that round.

The max win cap. Each casino sets a maximum win per bet, in money, not a cap on the multiplier. When a win reaches that amount, the game cashes out by itself. With a $100 bet and a $10,000 cap, that happens at 100x; with a $1 bet, you would need 10,000x. Your casino’s cap is in the menu, under Game Limits.

Two bets in one round

Tap the plus icon in the corner of the first panel to add a second bet; the minus icon removes it again. Each panel has its own amount, Cash Out button and Auto settings. A common setup is one early exit and one later target: $1 with Auto Cash Out at 1.50x, and $1 you hold by hand.

Two $1 bets: 1.50x Auto plus manual

1.40x−$1−$1−$2
2.00x (bet 2 not cashed)+$0.50−$1−$0.50
3.20x (bet 2 out at 3.00x)+$0.50+$2.00+$2.50

Net results per bet. Calculated with the payout rule from the in-game rules.

Two bets spread the outcome within a round, but they also double what you wager. Under a 97% RTP model, $1 + $1 loses about $0.06 per round on average, against about $0.03 for a single $1 bet.

Auto Bet, Auto Cash Out and Auto Play

The Auto tab on each bet panel holds these tools. They change how you play, not your odds.

  • Auto Bet places the same bet on that panel every round. You still cash out yourself, unless Auto Cash Out is also on.
  • Auto Cash Out collects the bet as soon as the multiplier reaches the value you set. It removes reaction time, which helps on a slow connection. Reviews give 1.01x as the lowest setting; we haven’t confirmed it on Spribe’s own screens.
  • Auto Play runs a set number of rounds, with stop conditions: if your cash decreases by a set amount, increases by a set amount, or a single win exceeds a limit. A Stop button ends it at any time.

A low target is not a safe one. Under a 97% RTP model, a 1.10x target is reached in about 88% of rounds. Each win pays $0.10 on a $1 bet, but each loss costs the full $1. One loss wipes out ten wins, and the average result is the same −$0.03 per $1 as any other target.

Cancelling a bet and disconnects

After you press Bet, a Cancel button lets you take the bet back until the round begins. Once the plane takes off, you can only cash out.

If your connection drops, casinos differ. Spribe’s game client carries two versions of the rule, and each casino picks one. In Version 1, the game cashes out at the current multiplier and the win goes to your balance. In Version 2, the bet is lost, unless it was already cashed out or hit the maximum win. Open Game Rules at your casino to see which one applies.

  • An unfinished game is cashed out automatically.
  • If hardware or software fails, the affected bets and payouts are voided and the bets are refunded.
  • The session ends if you are inactive for longer than the casino’s time limit.
  • Players are placed at random into game rooms. Each room has its own seeds and results, so a friend in another room can see a different round.

The rest of the screen

  • Multiplier history: the strip at the top lists the crash points of recent rounds.
  • All Bets, Previous and Top: all bets in the current round, the last round, and the biggest wins and multipliers by day, month or year.
  • Chat: on the right on desktop, behind an icon on a phone. Big wins are posted there automatically, and Rain can drop free bets into it.
  • Menu: Sound, Music and Animation switches, Free Bets, My Bet History, Game Limits, How To Play, Game Rules and Provably Fair Settings.

The history and the Top tab describe the past only. Each round uses fresh seeds, so a run of low crashes doesn’t make a high one due. To check that a past round was fair, follow our Provably Fair guide.

Tips Before You Start Playing Aviator

A little preparation helps you keep Aviator under control and avoid the usual beginner errors. None of it changes the odds; it changes how long your budget lasts and how calm you stay.

  • Set a fixed session budget and stick to it.
  • Begin with small stakes to understand how rounds flow.
  • Don’t chase losses or try to recover them in one round.
  • Use the statistics panel for context, but remember each round is independent.
  • Open Game Limits and Game Rules first: the limits, the max win and the disconnect rule depend on the casino.

These habits keep Aviator a form of entertainment that stays within your control.

Step by step

Step-by-Step Guide to Play Aviator

Getting started takes a few steps, from sign-up to your first cash-out. The screenshots come from casino lobbies in April 2026. Signing up and depositing are covered in detail in our guides on registration and deposits.

  1. Pick a licensed online casino

Choose a licensed, secure casino that offers Aviator where you live, with good player reviews, two-factor login, a clear layout and transparent rules for deposits, bonuses and withdrawals. Check that online casinos are legal in your country first.

  2. Sign up and create an account

Click Register, fill in the form with accurate personal details, set a strong password and confirm your account by email or SMS, depending on the casino.

  3. Log in to your account

Open the casino site or app, enter your username or email and password, and turn on two-factor authentication if it is offered. Keep your login details private on shared devices.

  4. Make a deposit

Go to the cashier, pick a payment method, check the minimum deposit and enter the amount. If you take a bonus, read its wagering rules first, then confirm the payment.

  5. Launch Aviator

Open the casino lobby and search for “Aviator” under crash or instant games. The tile should name Spribe, and the loading screen shows the SPRIBE badge and “Official Game, Since 2019.” A game with another logo, plane or button layout may be a different “Aviator.”

  6. Place your bet and play

Set your stake for one or two bets and press Bet before the round starts. Watch the multiplier grow and press Cash Out before the plane flies away.

Advice

Common Mistakes to Avoid in Aviator

Many new Aviator players repeat the same mistakes. Avoiding them helps you keep control of your budget.

  • Betting too big too early. Start small and learn the flow first. Rounds are short: a flight to 2x lasts about 8.4 seconds by Spribe’s growth formula, so $100 of $1 bets goes by fast.
  • Chasing high multipliers every round. Under a 97% RTP model, 10x comes about once in 10 rounds, so long losing runs are normal.
  • Ignoring budget limits. Decide a loss limit and a session length before you play.
  • Playing on tilt after losses. Take a break when you feel frustrated or impatient. Doubling after a loss doesn’t change the 3% edge.
  • Reading patterns. A streak of low multipliers doesn’t mean a big one is coming. Rounds are independent.
  • Trusting predictors. Apps and signal channels that promise the next crash point can’t know it. Read why Aviator predictors don’t work.

Responsible play keeps Aviator from putting pressure on your finances. For more, see Aviator tips and strategies.

Aviator Demo Mode

Aviator demo mode is a free version that uses virtual credits instead of real money. The official demo on Spribe’s website opens after an age check, and many casinos have a fun mode. The demo has the same interface, buttons, Auto tools and multiplier curve. Spribe doesn’t describe how it differs from the real-money game.

Wins in demo mode stay virtual and can’t be withdrawn. Demo play is a good way to learn the rules, test the interface and see how often high multipliers really come, before you place real bets. If you press Bet with an empty real balance at a casino, the game asks you to top up. More in our Aviator demo guide.

FAQ

How to Play Aviator: FAQ

Is Aviator fair?

Spribe’s Aviator uses a Provably Fair system: the hash of the server seed is shown before each round, and you can check the result afterwards. Spribe also holds game certificates in several regulated markets. Play the original Spribe version at a licensed casino.

Can I play Aviator on my mobile phone?

Yes. Casinos offer Aviator in mobile browsers and in their Android and iOS apps, with the same layout, Cash Out buttons and live statistics. Spribe has no standalone Aviator app.

What is the minimum bet in Aviator?

It’s set by the casino, and reviews give $0.10 as typical. At one casino we checked, the range was $0.10 to $80. Your casino’s exact limits are in the game menu, under Game Limits.

Are there any strategies that guarantee wins in Aviator?

No. Betting systems only shape risk; each round has an independent random crash point, and every target has about the same expected loss under a 97% RTP model.

Can I use bonuses on Aviator?

Many casinos let you use welcome or reload bonuses on Aviator, and some give Aviator free bets. Wagering rules vary, so check the bonus terms before you play.

Can you place two bets in Aviator?

Yes. Tap the plus icon on the first bet panel to open a second one. Each bet has its own Cash Out and Auto Cash Out.

Can you cancel a bet in Aviator?

Yes, but only before the round starts. Press Cancel while the plane is still on the ground. After takeoff you can only cash out.

What happens if I lose connection in Aviator?

It depends on the casino. Under one version of the rule, the bet is cashed out at the current multiplier; under the other, it is lost. Check Game Rules at your casino.

Play responsibly

Every Aviator round is random, and no app or pattern can predict when the plane flies away. Set a budget before you start, use your casino’s deposit and time limits, and never chase losses.
